Meertec  ·  Hold Period  ·  Interim Leadership

Executive technology leadership, retained through the hold period.

Retained executive leadership of technology and data functions during the hold period: stabilising delivery, resetting vendor relationships and rebuilding engineering credibility.

What's Delivered

Stabilise, reset, build

The interim mandate is structured around three phases: stabilise what's broken, reset what's misaligned, and build the capability the value creation plan requires.

Stabilise

Stop the immediate bleeding: delivery cadence, team capability, critical dependencies and the vendor relationships that are creating risk in the hold period.

Reset

Realign the technology function with the value creation plan: governance, vendor contracts, platform strategy, team structure and engineering culture.

Build

Stand up the capability the deal thesis requires: data and AI operating models, FinOps discipline, cloud optimisation and the engineering credibility to attract and retain talent.

Typical Engagement

Retained, not advisory

This is hands-on executive leadership, not a slide deck. The mandate runs as a retained engagement through the hold period, with board-level accountability.

  • Duration: 6–18 months, depending on the value creation plan
  • Cadence: 3–4 days per week, on-site or hybrid
  • Reporting: Board and investment committee updates on a cadence agreed with the sponsor
  • Succession: Structured handover to a permanent executive or expanded leadership team
